Magnesium chloride flakes
Magnesium Chloride flakes in crystal form, for bath applications up to 5% in crystal form.
To make magnesium flakes, the magnesium oil is heated to about 160 degrees where the water evaporates to reach a concentration of 47% magnesium chloride. Then it returns to a solid form.
Due to the heating process, a small amount of MgCl2 (magnesium) will decompose into MgOHCl (magnesium hydroxide chloride), MgCO3 (magnesium carbonate) and HCl (hydrochloric acid).
Magnesium chloride flakes are ideal for a magnesium foot bath or bath. While you relax, this is also an easy and good way to maintain your magnesium level and prevent a magnesium deficiency! The transdermal application of magnesium through the skin is a better form of magnesium substitution. Several studies in the meantime have confirmed its effectiveness.

Although magnesium oil is used more frequently, magnesium flakes have proven to be extremely effective in a magnesium filled bath. In this way, the effective absorption of magnesium into the body is influenced by the magnesium concentration in the filled bath, the entire body area covered by the concentrated water, and the duration of the bath taken.
The absorption of magnesium increases disproportionately with the concentration. The temperature of the bath water should be approximately 37 degrees Celsius, and the duration of the bath time taken should be at least 20 minutes long.

An alternative to a magnesium filled bath is a foot bath, which is an easier and more convenient option. Since the body area covered by magnesium water only encompasses the feet area, magnesium absorption is thus significantly reduced in a magnesium filled foot bath.
The less body absorption area there is, the higher the magnesium dosage and concentration is required (approximately 4%).
The feet and ankles should be fully immersed in the magnesium water. The temperature of the foot bath water should be approximately 37 degrees Celsius, and the duration of the foot bath time taken should be at least 20 minutes long.
Research has shown that a magnesium deficiency can be quickly and effectively cured with a daily foot bath.
Magnesium is a 'power mineral', also known for the 'inner peace' that it brings. There is no other substance than magnesium that makes humans resistant to stress, calming the nervous system, while at the same time providing and maintaining a constant boost of energy.
Every activity in the human body, such as temperature regulation to cell formation, depends on the chemical reaction of enzymes, which consequently, in turn is highly depended on the availibity of magnesium in the body.
The more magnesium is available in cells of the human body, the better the functioning of the cells inner power structure known as the mitochondria, which produces energy in the form of ATP, found in human body cells.
The need for magnesium is just as important as the need is for calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D3 for heathy teeth and bones. Because of magnesium, bones become truly flexible and stable.
While being co-dependent minerals for strong bones and teeth, magnesium and calcalium are also opposing players in terms of their effects on muscles. While calcium causes a contraction in muscle fibres, magnesium has the effect of relaxing the musculature.
